Sheridan学院 is proud to share that three alumni have been recognized with a 2024年宾顿市公民奖

Entrepreneur Anthony Lombardo, singer-songwriter Omega Mighty, and Occupational Health and Safety Manager Cesar Paredes have all been cited by the City of 宾顿市 for their contributions to the community. 他们将于5月8日星期四在玫瑰剧院接受表彰。

“I’m incredibly proud to count these three amongst our alumni who are making invaluable contributions to the local community,” said Dr. Janet Morrison, Sheridan学院’s President and Vice Chancellor. “Our alumni play an integral part of 宾顿市’s success, and I’m delighted to see them recognized for their service to the community.”

Lombardo (计算机系统技术, '10) launched a coffee company in 2022, The Mister Brewer, which donates 10 per cent from the proceeds of sales of its bags of coffee to William Osler Health System Foundation. 他被市政府授予励志奖。

Mighty (工商管理，人力资源, ’11) was recognized with an Arts Acclaim – Excellency Award in a year that saw her receive a Juno Award nomination for Reggae Recording of the Year and placed on the CBC Music’s 搜索light Top 10 artists.

Paredes (工商管理，人力资源, '13) was given an Inspirational Award for the countless hours he has volunteered as a coach with 宾顿市 Minor Baseball, as well as for his efforts as a member of the Community Emergency Response Volunteers (CERV).

The City of 宾顿市 Citizen Awards were created in1974 to celebrate “outstanding citizens in our community who have achieved milestones” in the areas of sports, arts, and community service.
