The season continues Sheridan’s legacy as a leader in training the next generation of Canadian theatre artists while offering audiences a diverse range of unforgettable performances.

“剧院谢里丹 is more than a season of shows – it's a training ground, a creative hub and a community,” said Tania Senewiratne, Sheridan’s Associate Dean of the 动画、艺术与设计学院. “It’s also a unique collaboration between the exceptionally talented students in our Bachelor Music Theatre Performance and Technical Production programs. We are delighted to bring this new season of shows to life for our audiences as we continue to build the future of Canadian theatre.”

All shows highlight the talents of fourth year students in the 音乐戏剧表演荣誉学士学位 program and first, second and third year students in the 表演艺术产业的技术生产 program.

The mainstage lineup kicks off in December with the beloved Sondheim fairy tale 走进森林, and 律政俏佳人, inspired by the 2001 film. March brings the award-winning mystery-comedy 昏昏欲睡的监护人, and the pulse-pounding adventure 现实生活 — a show first developed at Sheridan, now being performed as a full-scale musical in collaboration with The Musical Stage Company.

In 初稿, Performance and Technical students work with some of the best Canadian writers and composers to offer workshop presentations of two never-before-seen scripts, 肉 and Séance, which will be performed as a double-feature.

The 音乐发展项目 will showcase collaborations with Sheridan students and artists from around the world. Geoffrey Chaucer’s 《坎特伯雷故事集》, a Stratford Festival commission, is performed as a play with music rather than a musical and 出路 is created as a partnership with YES Theatre in Sudbury. 这些节目正处于最后的发展阶段，与《初稿》一起，将是站立演唱表演。
