The Personal Support Worker – Accelerated certificate program provides the same training as Sheridan’s 为期一年的个人支持工作者计划, but in a condensed time period. 符合条件的学生的学费、辅助费和实习津贴由安大略省政府提供资金，以解决公共卫生保健系统中社会福利工作者的短缺问题。

今年夏天，该项目将提供两组课程，分别从7月4日和8月8日开始上课。 All courses will be delivered remotely, with the exception of a Skills Lab course that will be taught in Sheridan’s well-equipped PSW lab at its 黑兹尔·麦卡莲校园 in 米西索加.

“Personal support workers play a fundamental role in 安大略’s health care system by enhancing the quality of life of vulnerable individuals in our long-term care and acute care facilities as well as in community settings,” says Sheridan Applied Health and Community Studies Associate Dean Dr. Maryam Niapour. “Sheridan is thrilled to offer this streamlined and accessible path for anyone who wants to pursue a career in health care while also helping address our province’s shortage of qualified and skilled workers in this field and being part of the path forward as we recover from the pandemic.”

Students who complete Sheridan’s PSW or PSW – Accelerated programs may also qualify for entry into Sheridan’s PSW到实践护理课程, a four-month accelerated program that provides students with knowledge and academic requirements for admission into Sheridan’s 实用护理文凭课程.
